Being asked for something

I am sometimes asked for direction. When I went to Umeda with other members for volunteer activity, Two foreigners asked me for direction. Probably, they said like this, “Can you tell us the way to Yodobashi-Camera?” I didn’t know so much what they said and where Yodobashi-Camera is, but I managed to tell in English. They said “Thank you”, so I felt happy.

Especially, when I participated volunteer activity, many people or visiters often ask many kind of things. They often say, “Where is wash room?” “I’d like to go to this place.”
After I answered their questions, they say “Thank you”. I felt happy, but I am tired because many people ask many questions. However, I think volunteers need consideration for others as well as enthusiasm.

What kind of volunteer work do you do? Where were the foreigners from?

It is always a big relief to find people who speak English when you are having a difficult time with something in Japan. I know, because I often struggle to communicate in Japanese. Sometimes, someone nice (like yourself) helps me. I am thankful for those people!
